Tyler Fausset is a dedicated advocate for first responders, boasting a robust background in support and training that spans over two decades. His career began at Pott County Corrections, where he spent four years developing essential skills in crisis management and support. Following this, he served for eleven years as a firefighter and paramedic with the Omaha Fire Department, gaining significant experience in emergency response and care.
Tyler's commitment to enhancing the lives of first responders is further demonstrated through his role on the Board of Directors for the First Responders Support Network in California, where he has influenced the development of vital support systems nationwide. He is recognized as an expert in peer support, having completed over 300 hours of advanced training. This expertise allows him to provide valuable guidance and education to first responders across various states. Additionally, he has trained police, fire, and nursing professionals in Nebraska, focusing on the importance of resilience in high-stress situations. His efforts extend to improving cultural competency among metro therapists, ensuring that they are well-prepared to assist diverse communities.
In his community involvement, Tyler serves as the Nebraska Peer Coordinator for WCPR/FRSN, where he coordinates support initiatives and facilitates monthly peer support group meetings for first responders in crisis. He also provides critical incident debriefings for multiple departments, aiding teams in processing and recovering from traumatic events.
Tyler's innovative spirit is evident in his initiatives, such as founding the GRIT Resiliency Program in 2021 under NCWDE, dedicated to building resilience among first responders. In 2023, he joined the Project RESET team, where he manages a group of peer mentors and teaches resilience to individuals who have faced adversity and trauma. Through his extensive training, leadership, and unwavering commitment to supporting first responders, Tyler Fausset continues to profoundly impact the lives of those who serve our communities.

Gina Brown is a distinguished firefighter and emergency medical services professional, whose career with the Omaha Fire Department has spanned over 25 years. Her commitment to serving and protecting her community is unparalleled, making her a respected figure in her field. As a devoted wife of five years and a loving mother to three energetic boys, Gina expertly balances the demands of her career with her family life.
Gina's career is marked by her extensive involvement with the Omaha Fire Department's peer support team, where she has been an active member for seven years. Her knowledge of workers' compensation laws and first responder mental health challenges is comprehensive, allowing her to advocate effectively for her colleagues.
With over 250 hours of peer support training, Gina is adept at guiding her peers through mental health challenges. Her training in first responder mental health support and leadership equips her to mentor individuals in crisis management. Beyond local efforts, Gina has traveled to provide essential services, demonstrating her commitment to broader community welfare.
Gina's involvement in first responder retreats highlights her dedication to teaching resiliency skills and restoring hope. She works tirelessly with individuals facing burnout, addiction, and trauma, fostering an environment of support and recovery.
In 2024, Gina broadened her reach by joining the NCWDE, where she teaches resiliency training to women in Project Reset, helping them overcome adversity and trauma. Her role in the GRIT Resiliency Team furthers her dedication to empowering others.

Jared Langemeier MS, PLMHP is a distinguished professional with a rich background in law enforcement and mental health counseling. His career spans an impressive 17 years, during which he has taken on a variety of roles and responsibilities. Jared's journey began in law enforcement, where he honed his skills and expertise through diverse assignments including road patrol, court duties, and serving as a school resource officer. Notably, he also acted as the mental health liaison, showcasing his dedication to bridging the gap between law enforcement and mental health services.
In the latter part of his law enforcement career, Jared took on the significant role of overseeing the Behavioral Health Unit. This position allowed him to focus on the intersection of mental health and public safety, further solidifying his commitment to supporting those in crisis and promoting mental wellness.
In pursuit of furthering his knowledge and capabilities, Jared earned his Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Nebraska - Omaha in 2019. This academic achievement marked a pivotal transition in his career as he moved into the field of counseling, bringing with him a wealth of practical experience and a deep understanding of the complexities faced by individuals dealing with mental health issues.
Jared's expertise has been recognized on an international level, as he has been invited to present at multiple international conferences. His presentations focus on crucial topics such as Vicarious Trauma, Compassion Fatigue, and Burnout—areas that are increasingly relevant in today's fast-paced, high-stress environments. Through his work, Jared continues to educate and inspire others, offering insights and strategies to mitigate the impacts of these challenges.
In January 2025 Jared joined the GRIT Resiliency Team where he applies his extensive background to assist clients in achieving mental health and resilience. His unique blend of law enforcement experience and clinical expertise allows him to offer a compassionate, informed perspective to those he serves.
